January/February 2019

2019. A new year with new challenges. Winter is upon us and I’ll be the first to admit, the cold weather makes me want to just cuddle up under my favorite afghan with a cup of Afghantea and a good book or movie. There is so much to get done, yet I feel lazy. Does the cold weather make you feel that way? But as they say, “the donuts got to get made.” So, to work we go.

In the December 2018 Editor’s Letter, I outlined some of the new features for TSL in 2019.

Here are some of the new features you’ll see in January and February.

Zesty: In January and February, we’ll talk about building a pantry and using it to create nutritious, money-saving recipes. How do you use your pantry? Let us know.

What is Art? I’ll share one of my hobbies, crochet. I made the afghan pictured above. If you’d like to showcase your creative side, please visit the Submissions page to learn how to submit your work.

Short Story Tuesday: If you write short stories, share them. Our goal is to publish a new story or a continuation of a story each week.

We’re ramping up for an exciting 2019. Please continue to check in and please, please feel free to share.

Thanks for your support.
